She was predeceased by: her parents, Dow Shelton Young and Annie Deaton Young; and her siblings, Linda Young, Essie Mae Young, Terry Lynn Young, Jimmy Dale Young, Billy Joe Young and Don Wayne Young.
She is survived by: her husband David Goodman; her children, James Jackson (Mathilda), Barbara Peterson (Chuck) and Lisa White; her grandchildren, LeAnna Peterson, EmilyAnn Jackson, Charles Peterson, Seth Peterson, Jacob Jackson and Mason Jackson; and her siblings, Annie Louise Kendall, Brenda Kay Woolridge, Dow Shelton Young, Jr., Gary Wayne Young and Ronnie Lee Young. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (17318 McGinty Rd, Jones, LA 71250). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ark Cemetery.
