She was predeceased by: her husband J. R. Neatherland; her parents, Robert Henry Reed and Dora Margaleane Reed (Neal); and her sisters, Darlene Atkins and Ida Geneva May.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Neatherland, Lisa Neatherland Stevenson (Randy) and Darren Neatherland (Tracy); her brothers, Bud Reed and Michael Reed; and her siblings-in-law, David Neatherland and LaWanda Ponder. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel (228 Allen Ave, Jonesboro, LA 71251). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery (211 Ebenezer Church Rd, Jonesboro, LA 71251).
