With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Dee Smith of Jonesboro, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 18, 2025 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his grandson Samson Lowe; his parents, Jonnie Smith and Pearlie Smith (Anderson); and his siblings, Dudley Smith, Troy Smith and Launa Hogan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bonita Abedi and Cathy Warren; his grandchildren, Joshua Etheridge (Angela) and Amber Swanner (Joseph); his great grandchildren, Bryce Etheridge (Savanna), Kaylee Etheridge, Oliver Swanner, Seth Lowe, Kayla Lowe, Haley Lowe Strong and Mikayla Puckett; his great great grandchildren, Stetson Etheridge and Lyra Strong; and his sister Nellie Bartlett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
