He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Whatley and Martha Whatley; his children, Paula Ann Whatley and Michael Whatley; and his grandchildren, Kaden Laprairie and Sandy Lee Serda.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Whatley of Jonesville; his sons, Jimmy Whatley, Sr. (Pam) of Monterey, Randy Whatley (LeAnne) of Ferriday and Donny Whatley (Chona) of Jonesville; and his grandsons, Jimmy Whatley, Jr., Tommy Whatley, Hunter Whatley, Greg Travis, Jaylon Foster and Jeffrey Smith. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Good Road Pentecostal Church (112 Good Rd, Jonesville, LA 71343). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
