Sidney Davis Sr. Obituary

We announce the death of Sidney Davis Sr. of Jonesville, Louisiana, born in Ferriday, Louisiana, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Sidney will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Davis (Pete) and Zelma Childress Davis; and his brothers, Rodney Davis, Joe Davis and John Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Leslie Davis Cooper (Chad), Shelli Davis Mason and Sidney Davis Jr. (Hope); his grandchildren, Cydnie Cooper Plaisance (Peyton), Mollie, Sophie, Davis Cooper, Garrett Woods (Courtney), Zachary Woods (Lexie), Sidney Luke, Beau and Wyatt Davis; his great grandchildren, Campbell, Caplan Plaisance, Kade, Addie, Theo, Maelyn and Hudson Woods; and his sister Pat Davis Clepper.

A graveside service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Davis Family Cemetery.
