Hazel Schexnider Marceaux Obituary
We announce the death of Hazel Schexnider Marceaux (Kaplan, Louisiana), who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 88. Hazel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Marceaux; her parents, Lucien Schexnider and Noemie Suire; her siblings, Lovenia (Allen Mire), Hilda (Roy Saltzman), Lena (Wilson Hargrave), Noah Schexnider (Shirley Marceaux) and Linda (Preston Miguez, Sr.); and her granddaughter Brooke Demette.
She is survived by: her children, Lovelese Marceaux (Claire), Keith Marceaux (Sedra), Patricia M. Lemaire (Don) and Susan M. Hebert (Chris); her grandchildren, Heather Frederick, Melanie Duhon, Chris L. Hebert II, Tyler Demette, Cade, Keisha Marceaux, Jordan, Kristen and Matthew Lemaire; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Sophia Duhon, Lane, Braxton, Reese and JonKeith Demette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church (600 Church Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pitery Family Cemetery.
