He was predeceased by: his wife Helen L. Richoux; his grandson Tylor Richoux; his parents, Evans J. Richoux and Egnolia Griffin; and his siblings, Dennis Richoux and Gail Rose Richoux.

He is survived by: his sons, David Richoux (Angie) of Lafayette, Rodney "Dee" Richoux (Laura) of Kaplan, Jarrod "Pookie" Richoux (Shannon) of Lafayette and Beil Richoux of Kaplan; and his siblings, Anthony "Tony" Richoux of Dallas, TX and Donna Trahan of Kaplan. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A rosary was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church (600 Church Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548).
