Though Scott may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Danette "Doody" Meaux and Micheal "Pesky" Backstrom. He is survived by: his wife Kasey Roche Backstrom; his sons, Scott Backstrom II and Brandon Backstrom; his stepson Cole Uriegas; his stepfather Bradley Meaux; his sister Marcie Cartwright; and his close friends, Blue and Red.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548).
