In the sacred silence of farewell, Susan Abbott is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Susan Abbott's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd McKinley Abbott Sr. and Alice Etter Dennis; and her sisters, Evelyn Abbott and Brenda Lee Whitaker. She is survived by: her husband Terry L. Schexnider of Kaplan; her children, Steven P. Schexnider (Tiffany) of Lake Charles and Kelly Schexnider Bourque (Dustin James) of Erath; her siblings, Carol Abbott of Kaplan and Floyd "Sonny" Abbott of Abbeville; and her grandson Daniel Bourque.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (300 N Eleazar Ave, Kaplan, LA 70548). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
