He was predeceased by : his parents, Vilas D. Sanders and Edna Earl Sanders; and his siblings, Vilas "Curly", Terry Glendale, Jerry Lindell and Francis Shirley.

He is survived by : his wife Luvina "Lou" Sanders; his daughter Pamela Spinks (Jim); and his siblings, Ken Sanders, Marvin Sanders (Pat), Frances Rice and Sandra Cuevas. He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
