She was predeceased by: her parents, Urbano Ayala and Betsabe Ayala; and her husband Dr. Domingo Bermudez. She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Auxiliadora (Gerardo Menendez), Alba Luz (Wayne Palmer), Roxana (David Marin) and Claudia (Michael Adamcewicz); her stepson Dr. Marvin Bermudez; her grandchildren, Gerardo Martin Menendez (Tatiana Menendez), Gabriel Menendez, Juan Pablo Menendez, Haley Palmer, Andrea Palmer, David Antonio Marin (Meghan Marin), Roxana Marie Marin, Anamaria Bonilla, Ashton Adamcewicz and Andrew Adamcewicz; and her great grandchildren, Sofia Elizabeth Marin and Sienna Menendez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (4337 Sal Lentini Pkwy, Kenner, LA 70065). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made to the Servants of Mary, in gratitude for their free ministry to the sick and dying. Donations may be directed to their local convent at 5001 Perlita Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.
