He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Bares Burke; his children, Melissa M. Burke, Edward A. Burke, Jr. (Savannah) and Michael P. Burke (Lisa); and his cousins, Sheila Nicholson and Shelley Nicholson Hirstius. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
