He was predeceased by: his son Frederick Ray Welch; his parents, Terry Donald Welch and Dorothy Elizabeth Rudesill Welch; and his sister Diane Welch Duke. He is survived by: his wife Flo Fitzmorris Welch; his children, Laura W. Kline (Kenneth), Tiffany Richard, Kelly W. Catalanotto (Tony) and Payton R. Welch (Stevi Sander); his grandchildren, Kenneth Kline, Kimberly Kline, Brooke Baltz, Anthony Catalanotto, Steven Richard and Alexis Richard; his great grandchildren, Rhett Terrel, Caden Richard and Olivia Richard; and his siblings, Terry Welch, Jr., Ricky Welch, Michael Welch, Randy Welch, Ronnie Welch, Dennis Welch, JoAnn Welch, Judy Welch Plaisted, ZoAnn Welch and Cheryl Welch Nicely. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
