He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine R. Duffy Kenny and James Thomas Kenny. He is survived by: his wife Catherine McGuire Kenny; his children, Michael J. Kenny (Anne) and Heather Kenny Smith; his grandsons, Mitchell J. Smith, II and Andrew J. Smith; his siblings, William M. Kenny and Eileen M. Kenny; his siblings' children, Michele Kenny Randle (John) and Coleen Kenny Hubert (Tom) of New Orleans; his sister-in-law Jane H. Kenny; and his great-nephews, Will Randle and Jake Randle.
With his wife he traveled all over the world his last international trip being Egypt where he returned from on March 12, 2020, just before the world shut down due to Covid.
