He is survived by: his children, Donna A. Madere, James M. Armit Jr. (Mary) and Joseph M. Armit (Birdie); his grandchildren, CJ Phillips, Rebecca Crossland (Ben), Cherie P. Sauve (Nick), Jamie Dubois, Kristen A. Davis (Mike), Lauren A. Talamo (Ben), Angela A. Turnage (Nathan), Joseph M. Armit, Jr. (Zoe), Corrie Nix (Claire) and Colbie Nix (Kelsie); and his siblings, Janice Maher, Mike (Delores) and Johnny Armit (Cindy).
The family requests any memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
