He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Meyer; his parents, Louis Meyer and Irene R. Meyer; and his siblings, Irene Meyer and John J. Meyer, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Schoendorf Meyer; and his brother-in-law Eugene Schoendorf. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers Masses may be offered or memorial contributions may be sent to St. Michael.
