She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Mae Charles Jones and Earl Savage, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Carlton T. James III; her children, Eddie Veal IV, Larry St. Amant, Jr. and Tawana Thomas; and her stepdaughters, Sabrina Armstead and Schlisa Williams. She is also survived by her loving sisters and brothers, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oakland Baptist Church (825 Reverend Richard Wilson Dr, Kenner, LA 70062). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Mark's Cemetery (342 Providence Ln, River Ridge, LA 70123).
