He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramona Merlos and Pablo Merlos; and his brother Oscar. He is survived by: his wife Iris Lopez of Merlos; his children, Iris Iliana Krishna (Nevin), Ana Carolina Zuniga (Jorge) and Pablo Antonio Merlos; his grandchildren, Lily Elizabeth Zuniga, Madeline Reese Zuniga and Kieran Sebastian Krishna; and his siblings, Adela Guerra (late Raul), Emilia Ramirez (Adonay), Elia Alvarenga (late Ramon), Roberto Merlos (late Marta), Nelly Davadi and Raul Merlos.
