He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stanley Burks and Beatrice "Susan" Dickey Burks; and his brother Stephen Paul Burks. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Charles Burks of Metairie, LA and Eileen Burks Dooley (Shane) of Kenner, LA; his siblings' children, Emily Chaplain, Kelly Chaplain, Caitlyn Dooley and Brandon Dooley; and his friends, Jim Lawson, Louis Ritter and Terry Smith.
