He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marie Pellerin Hatcher Beninato and Richard Hatcher, Sr.; and his wife Phyllis Hatcher (Cunningham). He was also cherished by daughter, grandsons, nieces and nephews, cousins, loving in-laws and many dear friends.
