With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Dauterive of Kenner, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2026 at the age of 85. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Marvelle Lawler Dauterive; his parents, Lewis Joseph Dauterive and Hilda Prattini Dauterive; his son Robert Joseph Dauterive, Jr.; and his brother LeRoy "Lee" Decomine Dauterive.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Veronica Lawler (Adam) and Zachary Lawler (Courtney). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
