It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Victor O. Galvez of Kenner, Louisiana, who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lisandro Galvez and Celina Zapata. He is survived by: his wife Mariana O. Galvez; his son Victor Galvez, Jr.; his stepchildren, Mariana Collins (Daniel) and Al Banegas, Jr.; his niece Iris Ethridge (Samuel); his grandchildren, Sean Collins (Brie), Brian Collins (Danely), Robyn Collins Sutton (Nate) and Shane Banegas (Kacie); and his great grandchildren, Ellie Sutton, Alexander Gamez, Neve Collins, Nori Collins, Bennett Sutton and Michael Collins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
