She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Herman Samuel Gosey and Helen Green Gosey; her daughters, Sedoural Neleh Stevenson-Brown and Sabena Christina Stevenson-Weathersby; her grandchildren, Candice, Chad, Michael, Matthew and Tcoya; and her great grandchildren, Jalen, Bishop, Giana, Serene, Dahlia and Jabari.

Virgie was employed as a NICU CNA at Ochsner Foundation, USPS and Pellerin Milnor for over 36 years.
