She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hillary Simmons, Sr. and Margie Ricks Simmons; and her brother Jeffery Scott Simmons. She is survived by: her husband William Downey; her daughters, Morgan Downey Pierce and Rebecca Ann Downey; and her siblings, Marilyn Simmons Yaun, John Hillary Simmons (Thelma) and Ted Alex Simmons (Theresa).
