He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy Day and Maggie Cutrer Day; and his brothers, Ivy Ellis Day, Joseph Elvis Day, Carl Bentley Day, Charlie "Nick" Day and Donald Audis Day.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lauree Day Phillips (Adrian) of Kentwood, LA and Lynn Day (Betty) of Kentwood; and his close friend Pat Erwin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
