James Denson Holmes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Denson Holmes of Kentwood, Louisiana, who passed away on July 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie J. Holmes and Willie G. Holmes; and his sister Jerry Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hatcher Holmes; his children, Jamie Holmes (Stacey) and Robbie Holmes Tate (Brandon); his grandchildren, Dally Holmes, Brantley Tate, Kaylee Holmes, Parklyn Tate and Colton Holmes; his sister Elane Phillips; and his brother-in-law D. M. Holmes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Fork Baptist Church (17280 LA Hwy 1054, Kentwood, LA 70444). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Fork Baptist Church Youth Fund.
