It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosemary White of Killona, Louisiana, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Cannon Barre and Victor Barre; and her sons, Craig and Kurt Chopin. She is survived by: her husband Peter White; her children, Sharon Sorden (Bruce), Cassandra Santoke, Denise Turner (Joseph), Lori Chopin (Sandra), Shawane Taylor (Charles), Eddie Jr., Adonica, LaTanya, Charmaine, Orelyn Sr. and Allegra Chopin; her brother Antoine Stanley Barre; her brother-in-law Javel Stipe; and her friends, Mary Lewis, Kemani Lewis, Betty August, Helen Johnson, Rose Lockett and Killona. She is also survived by grandchildren, (55) great-grandchildren; and (5) Great-great-grandchildren, (1) sister in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Historic Bell Baptist Church (300 Hackberry St, Luling, LA 70070). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Historic Bell Baptist Church Cemetery (300 Hackberry St, Luling, LA 70070).
