It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Captain of Kinder, Louisiana, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Captain, Sr. and Louella Tyler Captain; and his siblings, Shelia Faye Captain, Kathy Ann Tillis, Ronald Anthony Captain and Helen Joyce Captain.
He is survived by: his daughter LaShara Lampkin (Leland) of Lake Charles, LA; his siblings, Patricia Captain of Kinder, LA, Sarah Captain of Baton Rouge, LA and Leon Captain, Jr. of Oberlin, LA; his grandchildren, Bianca Bracero, Braylon Holley, Cynthia Lampkin, Leland "Brock" Lampkin and Amelia Lampkin; and his great grandchild Izabella Edwards. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
