It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Joseph Young of Kinder, Louisiana, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Collin Joseph Young and Ida Fontenot Young; his brother James "Jimmy" Young; and his nephew Keith Young. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Hymel Young; his children, Brian Young (Tiffany), Stina Young LeBlanc (Scotty) and Brandie Carpenter (Scott); his grandchildren, Madison Young Fontenot (Dylan), Alexis Young Fierge (Cameron), Gavin LeBlanc, Ethan LeBlanc, Cassidie Carpenter and Cale Carpenter; and his sisters, Beverly Young Thigpen (J. B.) and Paula Young Walker (Burke). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice in his honor.
