He was predeceased by: his parents, Francois Pierre and Euranie Rodrigue Cavalier; his wife Anna Lou Guidry Cavalier; his siblings, Herbert Cavalier, Dave Cavalier, Ulysse Cavallier, Frank Cavallier, Sterling Cavalier, Ivy Cavalier, Una Breaux, Irene Aucoin, Isabelle Lunk and Alice Garcia; and his son-in-law Daniel Guerra Sr..
He is survived by: his brother Alvin Cavalier; his sibling's children, Albert J. Cavalier Jr. (Diane), Ricky P. Cavalier (Angel), Phyllis C. Shubert (Mark), Tammy C. Guerra and Joanie C. King (Ronald "Scooter"); and his girlfriend Betty McNeely. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
