With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Estes Tonguis of Lacombe, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph Tonguis and Pearl Ethel Moran; his sister Jane Theresa Tonguis Duffour; his former wife Betty June Tonguis; his son Anthony Barry Tonguis; his son-in-law Steven Zane Lowe; and his great grandchildren, Tristan Anthony Tonguis and Peyton Ross Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Myung Sook "Susie" Tonguis; his sister Bonnie Ann Tonguis Cook; and his daughters, Robin Jean Tonguis Gray (Mike), Jami Marie Tonguis Lowe and Lisa Ann Tonguis (Scott). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
