She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Broussard; her parents, Elrike Young and Madia Ashford Young; her sister Audrey Naquin (Sherman); her brother-in-law John "Nookie" Savoy; and her daughter-in-law Gernice H. Broussard.
She is survived by: her children, Ann B. Christopher (Tim) of Lafayette, Melissa B. Gauthier (John) of Lafayette, Karen B. Judice of Lafayette, Susan Broussard of New Orleans, Yvonne B. Moore (Jim) of Carencro, Gary F. Broussard of Carencro and Dennis F. Broussard of New Orleans; her grandchildren, Kiesha, McKenzie, Nicholas, Andrew, Emily W., Jordan, Brandon, Mallory, Emily J., Hailey, Olivia, Catherine, Gabrielle and Jackson; and her siblings, Jane Savoy of Eunice and Elrike "Ricky" Young, Jr. (Diane) of Basile. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 27th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Monday, July 27th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 27th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
