Anna Lou Alfred Obituary
Lafayette – Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Anna Lou Alfred, 80, who passed away October 20, 2021, at University Hospital and Clinics.
Services will be conducted by Fr. Dillip Soreng, SVD.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her four children: three sons, Paul Larry Alfred (Penny), Randy Paul Alfred Sr. (Mary), and Gregory Lee Alfred Sr., and one daughter, Lisa Alfred Mathieu; one brother, Albert Alfred; three sisters, Grace Griffin, Anna Belle Roy, and Olivia Woods; eight step-brothers, Jim, Clifton, Jacque, Gerald, Horace, Carlton, and Charles Alfred; two step-sisters, Carnella Alfred and Doris Taylor; 13 grandchildren, Sharell Roberts (Jonathan), Shamyra Dural, Briceson Dural, Ashley Alfred, Grayland Alfred Jr. (Ashley), Chelsie Alfred (Bryan), Irion Alfred Alexander (Lanard), Randrick'a Alfred, Randy Alfred Jr. (Sherika), Richard Alfred (Kiara, Carl Mathieu Jr., Brianna Alfred, Gregory Alfred Jr.; 26 great grandchildren, Jasheem, Lynkon, and Izik Alexander, Ja'Khyri Wilford, Elijia and Bryuia Cahee, Jamiere, Jayceon, and Jonathan Jr. Roberts, Randy III and Reiken Alfred, Jayla and Jalyric Roberts, Ma'Kiyah and Kaleb Ross, Makenzie and Maloni Marks, Kha;lin and Kai'Slie Alfred, Kiri Alfred, Stephen Darby, Hayleigh, Haleina, Raiden Alfred, Skye Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Urick and Edmonia Alfred; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Alfred (Kelly); one son, Scottie James Alfred; one son-in-law, Carl Mathieu Sr.; one great granddaughter, Jaycee Lynn Ann Roberts; five brothers, Largis Alfred (Dees), Jimmy Alfred, Antoine Harris, Allen Harris, Gilbert Alfred, Roy Harris; five sisters, Cecile Thomas, Lucille Thomas, Albertha Landry, Marjorie Francis, and Evelynn Portalis.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Syrie Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m. by the Foster Grandparents.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear masks or face coverings.
