It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Picard Romero of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Dewey Picard; her grandson Dylan James Guidry; her mother Rosa Picard; her siblings, Roland Picard, John Walter Picard, Nolan Picard, Mae "Merelyn" Duhon and Viola Picard Hulo; and her son-in-law Glenn David Broussard.
She is survived by: her husband Donald "Don" L. Romero, Sr.; her daughters, Tammy K. Broussard, Kim Stelly, Lori Duhon, Toni Duhon Guidry (Francis) and Shannan Duhon Roy (Kelly); her stepchildren, Donald L. Romero, Jr. (Sonya), Corey Romero (Michelle), Shawn "Shane" L. Romero, John "Johnny" L. Romero (Laurie) and Mandy L. Romero (Ivan Roger); her brother Perry Picard (Betty); and the father of her children Howard John Duhon. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana.
