He is survived by: his daughters, Allison Ackal Herrera (Juan) and Ashley Ackal Dartez (Bob); his granddaughters, Emily Paige Herrera, Ashley Kathryn Herrera and Anna Catherine Ackal Dartez; his sibling's children, David Smith, Steven Smith (Veronica) and Susan Lalande (David); and the mother of his children Mary Jo Manning.
