He is survived by: his wife Myra Pettigrew; his children, Dr. Ashby William Pettigrew, IV (Megan Pettigrew) and Courtney Alicia Pettigrew; his grandchildren, Alicia Ross, Abbie Pettigrew and Ashby William Pettigrew; his siblings, Judge John Pettigrew (Linda Pettigrew), Gretchen Murray and Nita Grace Pettigrew; and his nieces and nephews, John Pettigrew Jr., Nathan Pettigrew, Kelly Peterson, Bridget Miller, Brent Womack, Scott Womack, Renee Womack, Molly Bozzo and Thomas Bunnell.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chauvin Funeral Home (5899 LA-311, Houma, LA 70360).
