We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2026, at the age of 74, Barbara Lavergne Cormier of Lafayette, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Ashley Cormier; her parents, Lebodier Lavergne and Ozemia Gautreaux Lavergne; and her siblings, Vivian Lavergne Boudreaux, Ronnie Lavergne, E. J. Lavergne and LeRoy Lavergne.
She is survived by: her daughter Nicole Leger; and her siblings, Raywood Lavergne, Sr. (Donna) and Edna Lavergne Hornsby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (400 E Betty St, Rayne, LA 70578).
