With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Avery in Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Alice Hall; her husband Francis Elmer Avery; her parents, Jim, Sr. Hall and Earline Hall; and her brother-in-law Stanford Ford.
She is survived by: her daughter Angela Baker; her siblings, Savanna Ford, Linda Sampson, Debra Hall, Priscilla Guillory, Jim Hall, Jr., Donnie Hall (Elizabeth), Ronnie Hall and Tony Hall; and her grandchildren, Marquise Campbell, Michaél Rivers, Jamecia Tanner, Amiah Baker, Devon Baker, Deon Baker and Mazen Chevis. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
