Bertha Ann Meche Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertha Ann Meche of Lafayette, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ewel J. Meche; her son Wayne J. Meche; her parents, Warren Joseph Burleigh and Azalie Prejean Burleigh; and her sisters, Iris Venable, Marjorie Burleigh and Anna Bell Burleigh.
She is survived by: her daughter Pam McGrew (Hollis); her grandchildren, Joshua McGrew (Amber), Mya Noelle McGrew, Sophia Helen McGrew and Nora June McGrew; and her siblings, Frank Burleigh of Lafayette, Joseph Burleigh of Alexandria and Hilda LaSalle of Lafayette. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Lafayette (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
