With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy R Griffin of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Kountze, Texas, who passed away on June 21, 2020 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Vera Lee and Cornelius Ray Cooper of Sour Lake, Texas.; and his siblings, Vernell Cooper Payne, Yvonne Cooper Savoy and Phillip Ray Cooper.

He is survived by : his wife Ella Gabrielle Cooper (Abbeville); his sons, Andrew Isadore and Billy De'Monte Cooper; and his siblings, Willie C. Cooper (Kathleen), Vera Faye Davis, Lillie M. Nelms (Claude), LouAnne Thomas (Johnnie), Wanda M. Cooper, Carlos W. Cooper, Roxanne Cooper Gloston (Pastor Peter Sr.) and Serena L. Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, close friends and other family members.
