He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sonnier and Mary Louise Sonnier; his siblings, Marietta Sonnier Roy and Paul Sonnier, Jr.; his aunts, Betty Baker and Oradell Thomas; and his uncle Wilfred (Nancy Prejean).
He is survived by: his wife Beckie Breaux Sonnier; his children, Brandy, Deion Prejean and Marlon Prejean; his brother Mitch Landry; his mother-in-law Dorothy Augustine Breaux; his sister-in-law Earline Willis Sonnier; his nephews, Earl Roy (Ketoria) and Paul Sonnier III; his godson Standford Mouton; his stepdaughter Shondria L. Williams Bouttee; and his special friends, Monkey and Shaggy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 5 bonus grandchildren.
