It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Adele Ernest of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Harry "Pete" Stanley McGuffee; her husband Michael A. "Zause" Ernest; her parents, Bobbie Avia Savoie and Mildred Marie Sonnier; and her sister Peggy Lege.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian McGuffee (Haley), Brandon McGuffee (Kelly) and Bryce McGuffee (Stella); her stepsons, Michael Ernest and Eric Ernest (Megan); her grandchildren, Sydney, Brody, Daisey and Beau; her stepgrandchildren, Layla, Logan and Conner; and her brothers, Henry "Eddie" Savoie (Belinda) and Joseph Mitchell Savoie.
