He is survived by: his sons, Brent Anthony Smith, II of Sunset and Devan John Godeaux (Whitney) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Colston, Conley, Rhett and Paxton Godeaux; his parents, Harry John Smith and Mary Ethel Richard Smith; his siblings, Byron Shaun Smith (Mona) of Carencro and Geralyn Tesa Bajat of Sunset; his godson Cody Smith (Nickolas Smith); his great-nephew Dawson Smith; and his great-niece Maysen Smith.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
