With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Camille Menard (Lafayette, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Camille Menard to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey R. Menard; and his parents, Sosthene Menard and Lydia Cormier Menard. He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Silvio (Chris) and Angela Guillory (Lon); his granddaughter Delilah Grace Guillory; his sister Goldie Thibodeaux; his brother-in-law Mike Daigle (Debbie); his siblings' children, Debby Duplechain, Sunny Hattan, Kelly Fontenot, Karl Menard, Danny Miller and Dwayne Thibodeaux; his godchildren, Eugene Lanclos, Karl Menard, Nina Melancon and James M. Hattan; his grandson Landon John Pitre; his mother-in-law Edia V. Daigle; his siblings, Rose M. Miller and Alen Jules Menard; his brother-in-law Carroll Thibodeaux; and his caregivers, Patty Pitre, Patty Trahan and Brenda Bourgeois.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Walters Funeral Home (2424 N University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70507). A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St John Berchmans Church (552 Main St, Cankton, LA 70584). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Berchmans Cemetery (552 Main St, Cankton, LA 70584).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hope Healthcare and Hospice in honor of Junior's lifelong devotion to his community, those in need, and his grandson Landon Pitre.
