He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Deshotels and Marie Louise Deshotels; and his sister Barbara Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Helen Faye Deshotels; his children, Michael Deshotels (Lana) and Susan Deshotels Leger (Kevin); his stepchildren, Jacque L. Goodwin (Patty) and Helen Monique "Nicky" Goodwin; his grandchildren, Bennett, Demi Grace, Hunter and Cole; his stepgrandsons, Matthew and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Emmet and Grant.
