He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hardy and Alice Mistrot Hardy of Arnaudville, Louisiana.; his brothers-in-law, John Fugler and David Bassett; and his nephew Doug Fugler.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Bassett Hardy; his children, Justin Hardy and Ashley Hardy Carothers (Carr Carothers); his grandchildren, John Carr Carothers II and Katherine Carothers; his siblings, Patricia Fugler (late John), Sam Hardy (Sis) and Bob Hardy (Melissa); and his siblings-in-law, Jeff Bassett (Cecette) and Liz Bassett Parker (Tony). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
