She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Carlisle Black and Alice Hammond Black; her husband Dr. Howard; and her brother Dewitt Carlisle Black, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Hatch of Dallas, Bubba Burch (Karen) of Lafayette, LA and Carla Johnson (Mike) of Birmingham, Alabama; her grandchildren, Allison Hatch, William Burch (Caki), Beau Johnson and Kate Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jack Newman Burch and Poppy Adele Burch; and her friend Betsy Mitchell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
