He is survived by: his children, Agnes Carter (Joshua), David Boatman (JaVonna) of Lafayette, LA and Nicholas Boatman (Larian) of Lafayette, LA; his grandchildren, Jaylon Johnson of Lafayette, LA, Jayvion Carter of Lafayette, LA, Angel James of Lafayette, LA, Kasen Boatman of Lafayette, LA, Na'Layah Boatman of Lafayette, LA and Jayden Carter of Lafayette, LA; his siblings, Cynthia Boatman Mayon, Carolyn Boatman Sinegal and Anthony Boatman of Port Arthur, TX; and his close friends, Duffy Paul Richard and Ernest Viltz. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Syrie Funeral Home from 12:00 p. m. until time 1:00 p. m. All attendees must wear masks or face coverings.
