With solemn reverence, we commemorate David Lutgring of Lafayette, Louisiana, whose life came to an end on December 10, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Thomas and Aline Molbert Lutgring; and his sister Raenell Hooten. He is survived by: his wife Leonora Ann Trahan Lutgring of Lafayette, LA; his children, Melissa Theriot of Lafayette, LA, Michael Lutgring (Wendy) of Charlotte, NC and Michelle Lutgring (Brad) of Edmond, OK; his brother Terry Lutgring of Moss Bluff, LA; his grandchildren, Garrett Theriot (Sara), Kellen Theriot, Allyson Lutgring, Lindsey Lutgring, Leigh Ann Lutgring and Emily Lutgring; and his great grandchildren, Beau Theriot and Charlotte Theriot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jules Catholic Church (116 St Jules St, Lafayette, LA 70506).
