He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Vicknair; his children, David Vicknair, Jr. (Desiree Amee LeBlanc) and Dawn Marie Vicknair Trahan; his grandchildren, Megan Marie McGee, Billy James Vicknair, Benny James Vicknair, Taylor Paige Vicknair and Tyler James Vicknair; his great grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Leucart, Buck Breaux Leucart, Zoey Lynn Lagneaux and Trey Joseph Lagneaux; his siblings, Curtis Vicknair, Sr., Sarah Ann Vicknair and Carla Campisi; his siblings-in-law, Ronald Allemond, Arnie Hooks, Gerald Bergeron, Josephine Allemond Hooks, Renella Boyer and Adrianna LeBlanc; his godchildren, Bryan Paul Vicknair and Emily Grace Richard; and his close friends, John Stutes, Greg Ledbetter and George Williamson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (224 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Regis Catholic Church (232 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
